ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW Halt The Machine, Future Uncertain
March 14, 2002Finland's ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW have announced that they will take a long sabbatical in order to recharge their batteries—a move that may in fact signal an end to the group. Here is the band's official statement on the matter:
“The years have gone very quickly. The ancestors of this band started over 10 years ago, and ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW itself was formed in April 1994, eight years ago. Four albums, one single, some of them climbing to the official Finnish charts. We have had many great gigs, and a very successful European tour in late 2000.
“ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW is going to have a break. We all need this break to concentrate on the other things in our lives. Times change. We cannot say how long the break is going to be.
“We have done thousands of hours of work for this band. It has been a journey we could never imagined when we started. We want to thank everybody, who has supported us during the years and especially our fans all over the world! You rule!
“On behalf of ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW,
Jarmo Puolakanaho & Altti Veteläinen
(The founding members)”
